Afterpay Australian Fashion Week is in full swing, and it's filled with not only fashion that has us instantly want to add to cart, thanks to homegrown labels like St Agni and Aje, but left plenty of beauty to be admired too.

Here, we take a look into some of the best of beauty (so far), from crystal-encrusted glam to barefaced skin.

St Agni

Leave it to St Agni to serve up resort wear with an edge. The homegrown brand’s Resort 24 collection offered up a perfect mixture of ‘90s silhouettes paired with modern finishes—think a black oversized blazer and mini with silver, barely-there breastplates created by New York jewellery brand AGMES. The makeup and hair perfectly matched the relaxed, yet edgy collection, in collaboration with Bobbi Brown and Revlon Professional Australia.

Yousef Akbar

It was all about glamour at Yousef Akbar’s AAFW Resort 24 collection, featuring a sea of neon and rich-coloured gowns, gem-encrusted body suits with silk skirting, and plenty of dramatic silhouettes. The makeup, directed by Susan Lilian, was equally as dramatic, with models both subtly and boldly covered in crystals to match the designs, done in partnership with Parisian artistry brand Make Up Forever.

Maggie Marilyn

It was all about barefaced beauty at Maggie Marilyn’s ‘Best Of It’ runway, with designer Maggie Hewitt teaming up with fellow New Zealand brand, Emma Lewisham, to bring the clean skin look to life. It perfectly matched the brand’s coastal backdrop at Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay.

To mark the brand’s 15-year anniversary, Aje presented a Resort 24 collection that saw it in its ‘Element’, featuring signature silhouettes and textures, as well as new introductions like swimwear. To complement the collection, Beauty Director Isabella Schimid used Elizabeth Arden skincare and makeup to create a dewy, glowing complexion. Models’ natural hair textures were enhanced with Hair Director Pauline McCabe using ghd products and tools.
