When Miu Miu presented its Spring/Summer 2022 collection at the spectacular Palais d’Iéna in Paris last October, many had eyes on the fashion house’s daring designs, which featured a mix of frayed hems, ultra-mini skirts in low-rise cuts, and statement crops, but ours were firmly planted on the models’ footwear. The Italian fashion house used the runway to debut its latest collaboration, reinventing a streetwear classic — the New Balance 547.
The collection marked Miu Miu’s first-ever sneaker collection, while New Balance proved that their iconic 547 wasn’t just capable of dominating streetwear, but runway too. The reinvigorated silhouette was in keeping with the collections’ mission, “use the existing to create the new." Much like other pieces in the collection, the sneaker is made of denim with raw-cut frayed edges, and finished off with Miu Miu’s logo front and centre. The collab is available in a range of three distinct colours; white, khaki and blue denim.
