If you, like many millions globally, have found comfort and grounding in crystal healing, you’ll want to know about the incredible selection at Ashley Bellino’s Stoned Crystals, one of Australia’s largest homes of crystal decor. Stone Crystals sits on the edge of spirituality and design, and is passionate about empowering its customers to create “sacred, styled spaces that inspire stillness, presence and mindfulness in their lives.” Whether you’re looking for jewellery, crystal clusters or homewares, you’ll find it at Stoned Crystals. They’ve also reinvented the digital shopping game, launching an app that makes browsing their selections even easier. As part of HER BLACK BOOK’s Festival of Her, a shopping event to support female-founded businesses, Bellino shares some insight into her business journey so far.

“As a child I absolutely loved anything that sparkled and my first brand was a jewellery brand. Raised in the inner city suburbs of Melbourne and coming from a modern family and home I had never been exposed to crystal energy or healing. After living abroad for two years I spent a lot of time living close to one of China’s ‘Gem Cities’. Under the direction of somewhat of a spiritual mentor to me, I visited the crystal city for an old jewellery label I had started. I learnt to feel crystal energy for the first time. I found that there were very few resources clearly explaining what crystals are, how they work and how we can incorporate them into the modern day lifestyle.  It was here that my obsession and experimentation with crystals began and I knew that there was something deeply connected to my purpose within this concept.”

“There may be times that test you and push you to your limits but these are just opportunities for you to rise even further into your highest potential. At Stoned our biggest challenges have been the building blocks for our greatest achievements and breakthroughs. As a feminine leader never underestimate the power of your intuition.”

“I’m so proud of the way we’ve been able to evolve and transform our business with the demands of the modern business landscape. We’ve had to be incredibly agile, sometimes transforming our business model overnight. Whether it be through the pandemic, social media algorithms or the evolving needs of our customers, we’ve ‘gone with the waves’ and emerged on the other-side stronger than ever. Whatever came our way, we chose to focus on the light and opportunity rather than the negative, and this truly has been the way we’ve been able to get to where we are.”

“This business has always been my first baby, now a new mum myself I’m juggling both! My partner Jeremy and our baby Vincent recently accompanied me to Tucson Arizona for our annual sourcing trip. There are definitely sacrifices but having my family be so supportive and involved in the business has made it more of a family adventure!”

“My absolute conviction that magic is possible. In business and in life, no matter what seems to be happening, when we focus on the opportunities, anything is possible!”
